Spacious and charming home
This high quality barn conversion was recently refurbished with comfort in mind; from the open plan kitchen diner and separate large living room, comfortable beds, to the enclosed lawned garden, hot tub, fire pit and cosy wood burners. Barton Farm is in the centre of the village of West Down, overlooking its XIII century Norman church, a 2mn walk from the village pub and community shop, 10mn drive from Woolacombe Beach and other stunning landscapes.
Bedrooms
All four bedrooms are on the first floor, starting with the king-size master bedroom and en-suite shower room. There are a further two king-size bedrooms, as well as a twin room and a bathroom with both a bathtub and separate shower. High quality mattresses, pillows and linens are provided to ensure a restful holiday.
Cooking and Dining
The kitchen oozes modern country comfort, with an island, dining table seating ten, and fireplace nook with arm chair and sofa. It’s fully equipped for cooking a feast with ample crockery, three ovens, induction hobs, hot plates, a microwave and dishwasher. An outdoor table seating ten allows guests to dine alfresco.
Areas to Relax
The living room is spacious (30m2) with two, three seater sofas alongside comfortable chairs. The focal point of the room is the original fireplace housing a wood burner which is perfect for winter evenings. Next to the kitchen and dining room is a fireplace nook with cane arm chair and sofa. The first floor landing has a day bed for those wanting an indoor place to read and relax.
Outdoor Fun
Step outside and the garden welcomes you with a selection of pretty plants, a large lawned area, quaint pond and patio seating area with a Weber gas BBQ. In addition long summer evenings can be spent toasting marshmallows on the fire pit, searching for hedgehogs or Mrs Frog who lives in the small shallow pond, or gazing at the stars from the warmth of the hot tub.
